“She wasn’t just talking about biking,
She was talking about life.”
What happens when you are assuming?
When you’re sure you know, you’re presuming?
Your not checking facts,
Adversely impacts,
A chance that might not be resuming.
Holidays “wrapped” with old usual,
Can make me feel quite confusional.
Made quiet and spare,
With things that show care;
Holidays can be quite beautiful!
When summer has come to its “bottom,”
It’s followed by colors of autumn.
With yellow and red
We’re vibrantly fed
With bright views, and truly I’ve got ’em.
My body and mind had conspired,
Which made me feel achy and tired.
I found that the best,
Was hours of rest.
Seems just what my psyche required.
Hearing “Bloops” can cause hilarity.
Answers one speaks with sincerity—
That don’t match at all,
Can even appall,
Lacking my hearing’s dexterity.
Here’s what I think can come of sharing.
We learn beyond that which is glaring.
We learn what we’ve done,
For cause or for fun—
We learn of our daring and caring.
Reviewing the contents of each day,
I often pass over and just say,
“It’s really so small,
No meaning at all”.
Deserving instead, a big Hooray!
On hot days when riding seems frightful,
To be out, is less than delightful.
Explore a new way,
Engage in your day.
Make all of your choices “insightful.”
The day we put in was a hard one.
Our internal voices screamed “Not Fun!”
Hang in through the day,
While making your way.
With real satisfaction t’ward outcome.
I start this task that’s habitual,
Simple, and even instinctual.
I note with surprise,
That here in disguise,
Is something that is now a Ritual.
For me, that question feels hard to answer.
Is that true for you as well?
This week I’ve watched & listened to
Daily interviews about “Radically Reframing Aging.”
