What’s Something Lovely You Noticed?

August 1st, new adventure starts!

For a couple of months,
My total focus — riding miles, gaining strength.
Good results, I am stronger.
Effort well-put.

Riding one day this week,
Passing corn field, I thought,
“Last time I looked; corn was 4 inches high”.
“Today corn stalks are 6 1/2 feet tall!”

Wildflowers, mostly white in early season,
Now blooming yellow flowers of late summer.
How have I not noticed passing season?

I’m working to balance my focus.
Riding is only part of what I care about.

Loved ones, friends, landscapes,
Conversations, connections.
Important in my life;
On & off bicycle.

Limerick:
You might find your focus needs changing.
You might need to do rearranging,
Of focus and time.
A new paradigm.
Inclusive instead of short-changing.

Hugs,
Lin

What’s something lovely I’ve noticed? Despite a poor air quality index I can see BLUE sky today. I think I’ll use my eyes more as opposed to relying on a computerized report!
