Pre-Ride Day, S. Burlington, VT
The Adventure Begins!
I thought every item was stowed for
Easy retrieval.
Not so.
Back to square one for organizing,
Creating some order out of chaos.
When I've ridden with niece Elizabeth,
First two evenings always include
Marching around motel room chanting,
"Order Will Appear, Order Will Appear,”
Eventually, it does!
Fun day here, meeting folks,
Attempting learning names.
Outing for mid-morning food, "best croissants in Burlington,”
An REI expedition, via car, with three women cyclists.
Chance to begin knowing others.
A positive test-ride on bike I'll use for trip.
Though different from my own MN bike,
This one & I will become efficient partners,
For next three weeks.
Good day.
Good omen.
Hugs,
Lin

Have a GREAT ride!
It was fun to run into you at the airport in Minneapolis.
It sure was, Helene! Thanks for the well wishes! 🙂
Best wishes for a great ride!
I’m taking the wishes and pedaling on them! Thank you!
Good luck to you and have a wonderful experience! I know you will and can’t wait to read about your adventures.
I can’t believe you have biked 1,962 miles to train for this. Well done and congrats for accomplishing such a feat
Hey Becky! Great to hear from you! You are one of the treasures I have met along my biking journey! Hope things are well with you. 🙂
Many good vibes for you on the way! Hang in there. Yes, you can do it! Remember hills always look worse than they are! Hugs!
So great to hear that advice aimed back at me… you are right. 🙂 And I MORE than appreciate the good vibes, I’m soaking them in!
