Sanibel Island Day 4

Appreciating the Journey: 10 miles

Sunday, March 10, 2019

Hello Dear Friends,

Destination today was to ride through "high rent" area,
Noticing architecture and landscaping,
Beautiful foliage and flowers.

Amazing small world encounter there:
Woman walking her dog near dwelling I wondered about.
I asked. We talked. She's from Minnesota.
Turned out, her husband had been

President of Malt-O-Meal!

You MN readers will know that Malt-O-Meal,
Established in early 1900's, is in Northfield.
What were the chances?
Lovely Lady; wished me Happy Birthday.

Bicycling mileage was low and slow.
Absolutely delightful!
Reminding me that
taking time to appreciate my journey,
Is what I can choose to do daily,

On or off bicycle, in any place.

Sometimes being out of usual schedule and location,
Lets me savor the bits and pieces of my day more deliberately.

I hope to take that home with me.

Hugs to each of you,
Lin

Limerick:

I saw a kind lady out strolling
So I stopped my tires from rolling.
"The blossoms right here,
Each merit a cheer,"

The flowers and foliage extolling!

Your encounter with the MOM lady almost makes one believe there is “a plan.” A lovely day. And aren’t the ibis fun? I remember the first time I saw them in my brother’s yard. Thanks for sharing with us. 😘

I always thought orange was your best color, but you look stunning surrounded by magenta, too!

Appreciating the slow times is a good message for me. Thank you.

We’re on the same page, then. Slow is good, sometimes! Magenta… wasn’t that bougainvillea incredible? 🙂
