Power of Visibility

Showing up "Loud and Proud!"

Wednesday, January 20, 2021

Hello My Friend,

How do you know you are
Showing up “Loud and Proud?”*

I have "cool" new bike shirt,
High-viz orange-red, SPF 50.
Great addition to bike clothing.

My criteria for wearing:
HIGH VIZ!
Other lovely items available.
I choose color that requires noticing.
Can't be missed down the road.
It's the visual kind of showing up.

The other "showing up?”
Commitment.

That big leap of making the commitment,
Gets us involved in activity that pulls us
To be more in our lives.

Crucial first step of "taking it on"
Gets followed with recommitment.
Recommit, recommit, over & over.

Each step, every pedal stroke, each new gain,
Can require recommitment.
It is worthwhile.

All those steps/ gains/ pedal strokes,
Get you on down your road
To your fuller life.

Go for it!

For me?
Winter week means indoor biking.
Different gear & tires could mean
Riding on snow, in cold, skirting ice.

Hmm, you can hear right away,
I'm not making those choices.

Preparing for my first BIG bike ride,
1999, CA -> FL.
Most training was stationary pedaling.
Sufficient foundation for start of adventure.

Shoring up my foundation!
I like that point-of-view/ definition.

I’m showing up and shoring up!

Sending Hugs,
Lin
