How Are You Preparing for Your Next “Big Thing”?

So rather than being judgmental,
What if instead, you could be gentle?
I think we will find,
That when we are kind,
Our progress is still incremental!!

Preparing now for your next “big thing.”

I’m applauding “little bits” these days.
Daily half-hour on exercise bike,
Short periods of evening-stretching before bed,
Walks in halls of this building,
Only modest physical activity.

For me, this is time of year with lots of
Motivational-Ups-and-Downs.
I’m quick to name me,
“Missing-the-Mark.”
The “why-bothers” fill my mind.

My more-kindly personal scan,
Reminds me that
“Every little tiny bit matters”
To keep me participating with life.

I’ve said that before.

It’s a time of being gentle with ourselves.
Particularly in time of short-daylight and cold temps.

As you re-engage with whatever January has,
Or learn how to mesh with anything new,
Your “tiny-bit-efforts”
Serve you well—keeping you on the journey.

Gentleness,
Patience,
Kindness.
I’ll get there. — We’ll get there.

Hugs,
Lin
