What “Carrot” Are You Dangling For Yourself?

To train for this ride is a “carrot,”
It gives indoor cycling great merit.
I’ll regain my strength,
And pedal the length
Of trails on this trip; I will swear it!

What “carrot” are you dangling for yourself?

I have sent second payment for a
Late Spring Bike Trip!!!

Having that “carrot,”
That trip for motivation,
Gives purpose to the stationary bike pedaling,
Which can seem tedious.

Two weeks, May 1 -> May 14
I’ll get to ride most of the Iowa miles of GART.
That stands for “Great American Rail Trail.”

GART is the bicycle world’s dream—
Being able to cross U.S. on a bike
Via trails and good bike lanes.

From Omaha to coast of Atlantic Ocean,
Much is in place for that.

Biggest problem spot in western U.S.?
State of Wyoming, which in general doesn’t trust cyclists.
More info to be shared in weeks to come.

For now,
Yippee!
There is an organized bike trip on my horizon.
I’m signed up! I’ve made the commitment!
Lucky me.

**Remember, “Make the commitment”
Is shift number one
To gear up for your next big thing!

Hugs,
Lin
