What Familiar View Can You See With “New Eyes”?

Wednesday, June 8, 2022

I'm out on my bike as I'm "homing",
To see what I'll see as I'm roaming.
Could be something new,
Or something that grew,
While I was away in Wyoming.

What familiar view can you see with "new eyes"?

I'm being deliberate to "be at home".
My two weeks on GART bike ride,
Quickly followed by our nine-day-trip to MT & WY ---
I need to notice HOME.

Out my garage door,
Onto trail leading along Cannon River,
Amazingly accessible biking!

Picking a new route as I leave trail,
I pedal UP to an intersection with
Downhill slope marked at 8%.
That's equal to some descents in Wyoming's Wind River Canyon!
Who knew my little flat Midwest place had that!

Just like out-west, I ease my way down the 8% ---
You know that I don't like "swooping".

On to a round-about with
Underneath tunnels / passageways for bikes and walkers.
Each entrance now has a vibrant colored mural.
That was an unexpected Art-Tour !
Another, "Who knew".

Those were big.

I'm hanging on to "new eyes".
New little views will pop-up.
I'm sure.

Hugs,
Lin

Mural along bike/walk tunnel. Look at that owl!

Calm water & trees. Great to see.
