Fresh appreciation of biking

Sunday, June 28, 2020

My dear friend,

I think I have rarely so appreciated
The freedom just outside my door—
Especially on my bike.

In these times of care and distance,
The wide-open stretches available
On our bike rail-trails give me
A rush of fresh-air-being-alive Freedom.

Mileage-wise, I'm able to ride 30 miles a day now,
More freedom—that of strength and good health.
On top of that, I have a bike buddy who can
Ride those miles along with me.
I am SO lucky!

None of our pictures show how busy it can be
Outdoors—in parks and other "play" areas.
You'll have to use your imagination
As you watch today's limerick.

Hugs,
Lin
