Our lodgings for 2 nights—ride begins Saturday morning,
Soon we’ll be off on a brand new start,
Each of us pedaling our own part,
We do have a day,
To prepare and play,
I know that a bike trip feeds my heart.
What adventure are you anticipating?
I'm in Newport, Kentucky!
We have tomorrow to be sure we are
Set to go on Saturday.
Such excellent help at
Each end of today's flight.
Having my boxed up bicycle required
Vehicles big enough to carry it.
That happened.
Good help moving box to
Counters, curbs… It worked.
I have a new wonderful Cincinnati friend.
Teri, lifetime friend of Bob's niece
Picked me up, to dinner together,
Hours of visit, delivery to motel...
Wonderful bonus to trip.
So glad I asked for all that help!
My airplane seat mate and I had
Very short conversation before we landed.
As gift he handed me a copy of his new book just out.
Since I am moving to get my book published,
This was a relevant encounter about another venture.
Already this is a good journey.
Watch for short daily Bike Note posts
As I am on this trip.
Hugs,
Lin

Dear Lin ~
Bon Voyage! I'll be thinking of you each day and following your progress with delight. SO glad you are on your way. May the weather and all else be cooperative!
My best ~ Candace
Thank you for the well-wishes, Candace! 🙂
Lin, it will be joyful to follow you on the journey from Cincinnati to Cleveland. Randy and I find Cincy to be charming, and we enjoy the amazing parks. In one park, our older son Chris, and Bridget, were married one day when the trees were dressed in the colors of autumn.
I am curious. I wonder if you will ride over one of the many hills in Cincinnati, known as the "City of Seven Hills"; or if your route will circumvent one of these steep hills, which many years ago were 'climbed' by pedestrians who rode the funiculars (steep cable-driven transit system).
In today's message, you celebrate the positive occurrences! I am glad that you are enjoying the start of your trip in Cincinnati (or now, in Newport, Kentucky). Lin, I will think of you each day by thinking words of encouragement. Using now the popular call-out, I say, "GO, GIRL".
Muriel, I will have to let you know about the route and Cincinnati hills! So stay tuned. Fun to know your son and his wife were married here. And, yes, I am happy to receive your “Go Girl!” 🙂
Have a wonderful ride, Lin! We’ll be cheering you on every day 😀!

Thank you, Carrie!
