Trail Ride in Duluth

North Edge of Duluth to Canal Park

Monday, August 6, 2018

Thirsty miles along edge of Lake Superior!

Oh, what a beautiful ride.
We parked at Scenic Cafe on scenic highway
Half way between Duluth and Two Harbors.

Pedaling on wide, smooth highway shoulder,
Views of Lake Superior on our side
,
Wonderful.

We connected with bike trail into Duluth.
It is amazing to me to be able to ride,
With no motorized traffic,
No big highway crossing,
From North edge of Duluth

To other side.

Our ride was just to Canal Park in city.
In 2013, I had ridden around Lake Superior
Returning to hotel in midst of downtown Duluth
Via this trail.

I wanted Bob to experience it with me.

We saw families with little kids on little bikes,
Scurrying like little speeding bugs.
Many runners,
Folks walking their dogs.

Back to our car.
We ate at Scenic Cafe.
Delicious flavors, good service, excellent coffee,
Worth the long wait.

Now we are in Two Harbors, MN.
For this overnight.
Lovely, leisurely trip we are doing.

Hugs and love,
Lin

Limerick:

We rode on a bike trail amazing,
Removed from the traffic so "crazing.”
All ages and sorts,
From homes and resorts,
On that city biking route blazing.
