Lake Superior Rock Hunting

Split Rock State Park, Duluth, and on to Hinckley

Tuesday, August 7, 2018

Hello, My Friends,

Today was different adventure in midst of this Bike Trip.

When we are on North Shore of Lake Superior,
Favorite place to go is Split Rock State Park.
That is a great place to search for "special" rocks.

Bob especially enjoys doing that.
(Actually, both of us)

You can see by photos,
That was focus for today's camera.

We timed our drive south for lunch stop,
Duluth Grill. 2nd time this trip.
Flavorful, good food.

If ever you come to North Shore,
Passing through Duluth,
Exit at 27th Ave off Interstate 35,
Two blocks west to Duluth Grill.
Always busy, it is worth the wait.

On up shore on Old Hwy 61, the Scenic Highway,
You will find Scenic Cafe.
Excellent food there too.
Also always busy, worth the wait.

My bike trips don't usually include
Restaurant recommendations.
These two are worth your stop.

NO Biking Today.

Post rock hunting at Split Rock,
Post eating Duluth Grill,
We have driven to Hinckley, MN.
Ready to ride north on this part of Willard Munger Trail,
Tomorrow.

This is trip of options.
We are having a good time.
By time we get home,
Will have gained five pounds.
Great for Bob!
Not for me.

Hugs to each,
Lin
