These Days — How Are These Days For You?

On rides through countryside
I pass many stands selling Pumpkins!
Do you wonder if all of those hundreds
Become Jack-O-Lanterns?

When I was a kid in Cheyenne, WY,
One pumpkin would be purchased for
Halloween Jack-O-Lantern carving.
Didn’t matter how many people might be involved,
I have four sisters …
One pumpkin.

I remember scraping out the seeds
Yuck job.
Then it was always Dad who did carving,
Creating the scary face.
We watched.

I’m telling this because I know
Increased availability,
Increased possibility,
To participate & create from start to finish,
Expands the chance for next new ventures.

We all can “carve our own pumpkin”,
All stretch into our own bigger path.

Pick your creative, growing, enthusing venture.
Your “Stretch for ways to keep life in your days”.

Take on opportunity,
Line up options,
Pick your “pumpkin” —
Your turn to design its face!

Limerick:
At first thought, outlandish and so strange,
To line up a pumpkin with life change,
A parallel true,
Change is up to you.
Some shift that enhances you, long-range.

Hugs,
Lin
