Returning Home

After Sanibel...

Wednesday, March 20, 2019

Hello My Friends,

Back in MN where piles of snow are smaller,
Some bare ground visible,
Little bird on porch railing,
River raging near flood stage,
New season is coming!

Returning after any travel is my challenge.

Being deliberate to reenter my town.
With community connects,
Observing progress toward spring,
Self-care—(a haircut from Tina!)
and light schedule,
Bring me back to this location for good life.

April holds travel plan to Seattle and Sequim, WA.
Getting to be speaker for Public Library and Storytelling group,
Lets me "spread the word,”
And see some family.

Outdoor biking will come to MN.
I'm kind of picky about conditions...
Roads cleared of winter grit and gravel,
Warm enough so all required layers still allow movement.
(I've not embraced fat-tire winter bike scene).

All well and moving forward.
Hugs to each of you,
Lin

P.S. Many Thanks to each of you signed up for these “Bike Notes.” Help me spread the word & expand the numbers. Tell folks about following this octogenarian on her bike trips. Cool! Forward this email; sign up on home page.

Limerick:

Your friends can all read of this biker,
I know they will find that they like her.
She's eighty that’s true,
Yet they'll find like you,
Good cheer, whether biker or hiker.

Snow piles much smaller than when we left

It was a pleasure to share. Thanks for the welcome–yes, see you, Naurine!

Peggy Marshall - March 21, 2019

Welcome home, Lin! What a wonderful (and warm!), adventure you have had. So fun to follow you and then to see pictures of Northfield! I miss that wonderful town! I hope the Cannon River behaves itself this spring. Lots and lots of snow to melt up north, but making progress.
Hugs to you and Bob,
Peggy Marshall

I imagine you got hit by this latest storm as well, Peggy! We got 10 inches. Hope things are well with you. Missing Libby.
