Reminder To Notice

Wednesday, December 20, 2023

In midst of the flurry this season,
To notice there is beyond reason
Varieties vast,
And never outclassed,
By all other sights you can squeeze in.

My Reminder To Notice

December moves forward
Toward Christmas celebration.

I've been out-and-about with
Attention to other things,
Beautiful; creative; funny.

Reminds me again to Notice.
I keep getting that reminder:Notice.

A visit to Banberry Cross …
Viewing Margaret's Chesley's color-filled studio.
Noticing how color lit up the day
Which was so gray outside.

St Peter, MN art gallery …
With wood engravers exquisite wood block
Prints displayed.
Noticing precision that resulted in prints.

Ferndale Turkey Farm store …
Where I could put my face into slot
Depicting a turkey's head.
(Must tell you, it was designed for kids
I could barely squat low enough)
Noticing how long legs and long years
Can limit flexing.

Getting moved to a new cell phone …
Process which has left me without
Saved, valued photos.
Arghhh!

I remember when photos were
Black and white.
Mounted with black corners on black pages.
Available and reliable for touch and viewing.

Some things I want to sidestep.
Still, much I am delighted to have
Noticed.

Hugs; Happy Holiday special hugs.
Lin

P.S. Wishing you a very happy holiday!

May you Notice all that gives you joy!
