My Two-Thousand-Mile Goal

I Did It!

Tuesday, October 1, 2019

Hello My Friends,

I've met my second
One-thousand-mile goal for this summer!

Today, rode final 19 miles.
August 5 to September 28 was span for these miles.

Of course there was
Concentrated boost with 500 WY -> MN.

Interesting for me to notice that
Specific mileage goals have motivated me
To ride,
Even without remarkable destination.

Ride / record / add numbers / notice increase.
Where else I can plug that into my life?
Seems effective during this phase,
Worth incorporating beyond my bike miles.

Of course, today I'm wondering
“Next?”
Stay tuned.

Reentering community,
Seeking speaking gigs,
Scheduling some.
These are focus right now.

Ceremony honoring Bob's years of public library advocacy;
Art openings;
Visits with 35-year-together coffee group;
Joining Collegiate Chorale;
Receiving Julia's skilled-effective-centering- energy care;
Working new, fun 1000 piece puzzle from Meg;

All part of reintegration into my good community.

I'm reminding myself as I look forward:

"It's not too late.”
Reaching farther,
Stretching / reshaping the box,
Adds richness and possibility to my life
.

Thanks for "coming along" when I ride,
While I tell you of musing from bicycle seat–
Thanks for your presence.

Hugs to each of you,
Lin

Limerick:

This bicycle season is waning,
Cold weather could set me complaining.
Important to find,
For my peace of mind,
Pursuits that are movement-retaining.

I love when things get re-used-- these bikes having another life as art! (Near Peggy Prowe's bridge)

Nice work, Lin, and Congratulations!
I love how you include lots of fun art in public places pictures that you’ve discovered along the way.
And this catchy limerick really hits the nail on the head for the season, doesn’t it?! Will stay tuned in this end.
Hugs, Gail
