Brimming with Happy

Wednesday, November 9th, 2022

Are you noticing “Brimming with Happy?”

Brimming with Happy
Is not just end-of-the-rainbow!
This week I’m focused to notice those
Everyday Brilliant Moments.

This week it was a couple of
Bike trail ride moments.

On the trail, seemingly empty
Except Bob and me.
Here came two carts—
Each driven by a happy woman,
Each cart pulled by a willing pony.

Something I’ve never seen on bike trail.
And what FUN!
Each cart-driver seemed brimming with “HAPPY.”
Enjoying the outing to the utmost.
Great variation on bike trail delight.

Fabulous, happy riding!
I could tell.

Two days later, once again
Bob and I on bike trail,
So empty, we called it our “Private Trail.”

Golden sunshine, blue sky,
Crisp, crunchy yellow leaf-covered trail.
Slight breeze at our backs.
Tummies full, having found GF chili for Bob,
Scrambled egg and cinnamon roll for me.
We were bursting with delight to be riding.

Beside me, Bob, who seldom sings
Belting out loud, full-voice, mostly tuneful,
Phrases of “Wunderbar! Wunderbar!”

Perfect words for our
Perfect outing.

Hugs,
Lin

Limerick:

When riding has made me so happy,

When leaves are so dry, they are snappy,

I listen and hear

Music to my ear.

That’s sung by the happy Grandpappy!

Happy trail riders… variety of modes.
Happy to be trail riding… however we get to.
Watching pony & cart trail riders. Happy time!

Dear Lin and Bob,
I am able to sense the joy and beauty that surrounds the two of you on the trail. A blessing indeed for you and a welcome moment away from the challenges of this day for me. Thank you.

Always a treat to read your words, Alan! Thank you! Be well, friend.
