Outdoor Training At Last!
Saturday, May 6, 2017
Hello my Friends,
Over last three days,
Biked sixty miles.
Beautiful time, being out.
Fields ready for seeds,
Crabapple trees unfurling
Blossoms of white or pink.
Patches of wildflowers.
Cannon Trail today.
White Rue Anemone covering
Adjacent banks with flowering carpet.
Fragile beauty catches my breath
In delight.
On trail today,
My first sighting of
Low bodied, three-wheel tandem.
Second rider / passenger
Appeared might be unsteady,
Lacking strength.
He looked so happy!
Being out "riding".
His friend providing joyfilled outing.
I want you all to put that on your list …
Your “Old Lin” List.
The one that says,
"If ever need to visit Lin in nursing home,
Do no take cookies, candy, cake.
Take ripe avocado & handful of salty chips!"
Now add the ride-on-tandem part. :>))
We're trying to transport bikes
Inside new Subaru Forester.
Lesson from Eric provided ideas, tips, practice.
Hoped-for mode is BIG challenge.
Stay tuned.
Spent time really poring over MN map
Working to set summer trip.
We are sure it will happen.
Route, timing, length ... sounds like everything
Still undecided.
May your activity that begins with warmer season
Fill you with satisfaction and fun.
Hugs to each,
Lin
Limerick:
Today when I got to go riding,
Surrounded by leaves out of hiding,
As gifts they appear
At this time of year,
The hope that they give is abiding.
P.S. If you can, please come to my next talk:

Admiring blooming trees, My six-year-old on our bike tour yesterday asked why crabs deserve apples.
Peggy, Hahaha … That’s priceless!
Weeee!!!
The bike season begins in MN.
Ride on!
Thanks for the cheer, Scott! Yippee!
Isn’t it wonderful to get back outside after being cocooned inside because of winter weather? Glad you are able to do that. Your posts are always full of such enthusiasm and joy!
Our winter has been full of warm and warmer days–104 then 108 the other day!
However a bit of a “cold spell” today and the next couple of days in the 70’s! Joyfully cool.
Ride on dear sister, Lin!!!
Isn’t it amazing how temperatures are relative! “Joyfully cool…” Love that! Soak it up! sending love,
Hi Lin!
You do look awsome! Best wishes from India!
Thank you, Irene — Hope you are having a FABULOUS and ADVENTURESOME time!
Lin,
Enjoyed your Spring ride and Limerick. Could feel the breeze as you moved through the verdant fields and the warmth of the sun on your faces.
You sure have a way with words, Alan. 🙂 If you ever get tired of being a judge, the world will welcome your pen!
