Northern MN: Day 3

Bemidji to Walker: 33 miles

Then drove to Lake Winnibigoshish "Gosh Dam Place" Oasis

Living your dreams is just like life—
Ups and downs along the way.
Choose your dreams as often as possible!

Bicycle day was "Tops!”
Thirty-three miles of bike trail,
Paul Bunyan paved trail all the way.

Paved trail,
Wind at our back,
Sunshine.
Good as it can possibly be!

Lunch was sit down at Zona Rosa in Walker,
Sharing plate of nachos.

On to motel to load bikes on car,
Drive to this Oasis for the night.

Turns out 60-mile day
Not our style now...
Altered plan lets us bike daily.

Here we are at our “Gosh Dam Place” Oasis.
Bare bones lodging reminds me of
Lots of long bike trips:
Stops happen where there are beds.

We have hot water, shower, bed,
Room for bikes beside bed,
Everything we need.

Sometimes getting to do what I want—
To get where I want to go,
Challenges me to adapt.

Sometimes I'm not
Very good at adapting.

Stretching to edge of comfort zone
And beyond, is what I hope for all of us
.

I do want to bike "on down the roads"
I'll grumble, and then laugh at
The absurdity of names,
And the joy of following my dream.

Hugs to each,
Lin

Early enough for laundry!

Short on photos today—Bob unable to send his.
Better next time!

Sometimes we must be careful of what we wish for . . . we may get our wish!
Glad you had hot water, a bed and some food!
Happy travels!
Hugs,
Bev
