High Altitude Training Ride

Preparing for the Tour de Wyoming

July 8, 2016

One of my favorite rides, from Centennial to Laramie.
Even though elevation from Centennial's 8000-some ft to
Laramie's 7200 ft seems
All down hill.
Still good training.

Some of training is relearning
Things known.
I set out with one water bottle.

Working hard,
Pedaling up long hill,
Breathing through open mouth.

Wyoming air
Dried mouth,
Leaving tongue with
Desiccated texture of
Desert lizard.

Part of relearning ...
Respect the conditions,
And prepare.

Guess this shows me
"It is never too late to learn, relearn."

Congratulations Lin! Your enthusiasm and vigor are an inspiration. Loved your blog and vicariously peddled along side of you. Thank you for being such an inspiration. Wish I could be at the reunion to hear your story first hand.

Success to you on the Tour de Wyoming. That’s a challenge!!!
