I had the privilege of being interviewed by
Podcast creator, Andrea Vahl, for her organization
“Late Starters Club.”
(Stay tuned for its release!)

Questions about my late-middle-age
Start of doing long distance bicycling,
Prompted my musing.

Asked “What would you tell
Your younger self?”
My answer is “Self-care is not selfish.”

I wondered later…
What will be the message to current me
From my 100-year-old self?
The answer:
“It matters to keep-on-keeping-on!”

So, I’m wondering:
How DO you “keep-on-keeping-on?”
When an activity must be given up,
How do you fill that spot?
How do you keep stretching your spirit?

How do you stretch into something bigger,
And expand your sense of possibility,
When limitations exclude a usual “stretch route?”

I have no answers.
What are yours?
(Leave me your thoughts
As a comment or reply!)

I do think that by daily
Moving our bodies,
Using our minds,
Connecting with people in positive ways—

We’re giving ourselves a good base
From which to live.

Hugs,
Lin

Limerick:
I wonder as I keep on changing,
How I’ll go about with arranging
Activities smart
That feed soul and heart.
My thoughts are unclear and wide-ranging.

  1. Self-care is not selfish. A deep counteraction to a life worth of not being selfish and skipping vanity selfceare.

To keep-on-Keeping on has mixed messages for me, my inter voice; on one had great motivational to be active and not I’ve up. On the other hand telling me I must accomplish something today. Much to work on. Thanks.

Connecting with people – mostly not an issue but a good reminder to not withdraw from connections with people that have not been easy.

I love all of your limericks
    Thanks, keep them coming.
