What Different Picture Has Shown Up for You?

Bike rides on the two paved trails
About 15 miles from home.
Cannon Valley Trail & Sakatah Trail.
Great finale for 2021 Trail pedaling.

Different views show up since
Trees and bushes are mostly leafless.

Lengths of trail with overarching branches;
Earlier appearing as leafy green tunnels,
Now show “basic” structure.
Like cathedral beams meeting
At top of ceiling.

Are we like that?
With basic cathedral-like structure,
Often obscured by what we use to
Make a different picture?

Each is beautiful & a delight to experience.
Hooray, trees!
For reminding me of
Basic beauty.

The lessons exposed when I’m riding,
With shapes that appear out of hiding,
Remind me, there’s more
To know and adore —
The picture that this view’s providing.
