Looking out and watching as it rains,
Watching water swirl down outside drains.
Pointless to grumble,
Even to mumble.
Weather is described for pains or gains.

Waiting in Council Bluffs, IA for G.A.R.T. ride
Are you “waiting at the starting line” for your next “big thing?”
Waiting, Waiting.
Today is pre-ride-down-day for being sure we are
“Set To Go.”
Often it includes a little bit of riding.
Checking out brakes, watching for a few direction signs,
Scoping & viewing from seat of bike.
Rain, real rain, all day.
Temp at 43 degrees.
Add in 10 mph wind.
We are pacing motel hallways.
Grumbling about the unseasonal cold.
Restless as we stay inside,
Out of what is real for today’s weather.
Though weather is never what we can control,
We grumble with self-imposed “cabin-fever.”
