Adair to Panora, IA

All riding in the van is quite rare,
It gives opportunity to share,
Our stories we tell,
And get to know well,
Our seat mate—connections build more care!

Have you noticed: sometimes what happens is
Even better than what you planned?

We all were shuttled to Panora today.
Weather forecast was for much rain,
Lots of wind, and low 40's temp.

U-Haul truck was rented to carry bikes.
Van contents transferred to U-Haul
To make room for people.
We got to Panora via van.

After yesterday's very challenging biking,
All were willing to have this unofficial rest day.
Stan & Chuck did start out on bikes.
Returned after ten miles out.
With the rain starting.

Heavy rain part has not materialized.
Still, van ride was welcome.

Arrived in Panora at noon, May 5th.
Cinco de Mayo!
Parked in front of Los Altos Restaurant.

Excellent Mexican food and
Shared conversation among our relaxed group.
Connections are bonus
Of coming together for "The Ride.”

Good people.
Good organization.
Good weather will come.

Hugs,
Lin
