My West Coast Visit Begins

Four hours of morning airplane ride
Put me in midst of Seattle blossoms.
This city that I like is a Tonic!
With blooming trees, early flowers,
Dandelions!!!
Sturdy yellow determined dandelions;
Such reliable markers of new season.
Lindy arrived Seattle via shuttle from Sequim
To share City outing in calm, charming Cedarbrook Lodge.
Highlight today has been time with
Grandson Earnie Bruce and Kali Greenberg.
Tour of different, larger office and storage
for company Equal Exchange,
Earnie justifiably proud of his part in upgrading
Equal Exchange’s expanding business.
I relearned today that
Connection is precious.
Always I wish for longer time together,
Yet even fleeting minutes are celebration.
Being trusted with what excites and delights
And returning that depth of sharing,
Shapes visit time together as a
Rich Gift.
My day has given me Gifts.
Sending hugs to each of you.
I will be giving talk Tuesday, Port Angeles
and Thursday, Sequim.
