Not exactly.
Experience, informative, interesting day?
Absolutely.
Afternoon was to wander
Area around locks 34 & 35.
Excellent signage on locks.
History of building locks,
Who encouraged & got NY state on board,
Who did the work,
Age of structures,
Much to read & take in.
Excellent ice cream shop close by.
Absolutely necessary to cool-off,
Plus, refuel there.
Then—
Canal tour boat trip, both directions on canal.
Our boat raised & lowered twice,
With filling & emptying lock.
Exciting to be on vessel that's in
Transit along Erie Canal.
Boat captain / tour guide,
Knowledgeable & engaging.
I don't understand it all.
I know more than I did before.
Tonight's dinner all of us together.
Best meal on trip.
Fine rest day.
