Prism of Patience

Wednesday, April 5th, 2023
Where is your “prism of patience” required?

I am better.
Not back to “top-notch.”

My not-much-patience characteristic—
Definitely exaggerated
During this time.

Arghhh!
Great opportunities to catch myself
Before engaging my sharp tongue.

Not the “opportunity” I’m looking for.
Still, may as well name it that way.
Change my perspective a bit.

Call it my “prism of patience.”

Ohh, I like that!
My challenge and goal.

Hugs.
Lin

Limerick:
My outlook is really quite crabby.
My words are impatient and jabby.
Because I might bite,
Perhaps I should write,
Consult with the expert “Dear Abby!”

Patience is a virtue we were taught many years ago. Covid-19, I fear, laughs in the face of patience and virtue becomes something that is sorely tested. And lack of patience doesn’t completely dissolve as the pink line fades.

My mother used to say “If you’re getting crabby that means you’re getting better!!!”
