More Life For You

Wednesday, August 17th, 2022

Have you had a time of “help-needing?”
When you thought you soon would be pleading,
For someone to do
A big job for you?
But help came! Your worry receding
.

Do you struggle with “finding fun?”
Me. too, at times.
Yet here’s another reason to do it!

A week of participating
“Outside of my box”—
IMPROV CLASS!!!
Four class meetings, 12 hours,
Final demo-presentation for audience.

Months ago, I signed up for this
To learn something, and have fun.
Both of those things happened.

Skilled instructor, member of
Professional improvisation group.
Ten students, many of us total beginners.
Me, as oldest,
Experienced high school student as youngest.

Much brain-challenge!
Thinking / responding on-the-spot.
Trusting my brain to immediately come-up-with
Actions, words, movements.
Absolutely was a learning time.

Fun, too!
Met new people,
Took part in silly games (required).
Loads of laughter!

Sometime during week,
I noticed that having fun
Made “usual tasks” easier.

Not easier, I guess—
Less burdensome. Not so heavy.
Several twenty-mile bike rides flew by.

So often, an expert’s message is,
“Include some fun in your day.”
Now, I join that suggestion.

Last week I found,
“My life with FUN, is more life for me.”

May you find moments of fun each day.

Hugs,
Lin
