The day we put in was a hard one.
Our internal voices screamed "Not Fun!"
Hang in through the day,
While making your way.
With real satisfaction t’ward outcome.

Where are you “baby-stepping” toward a goal?

Thinking of the many things we do,
Day-by-day, keeping on; redoing; reconfiguring;
Baby-stepping so often necessary
To move us to our goal/ completion/ a bit farther.

Much of what we do takes that resolve.
Minute-to-minute recommitting.

Recounting the challenges of my
Recent bike trip to friends:

Three days of cold, low 40's,
(Cold for this cyclist,)
Followed by continuous days of temps in 90's.
Endless hills,
Relentless headwind.
Followed by satisfaction of having
Gotten to that day's destination.

My friend spoke up,
“It's like trying to lose weight.
Getting through a day can be hard.
Satisfaction of having made it another day,
Moving closer to my goal is SO worthwhile."

Much of what we do takes that resolve.
Minute-to-minute recommitting
To get us to the satisfaction at the end of a day.

Pedaling a bicycle is just one of those.

Sometimes, there is the perfect day.

Yesterday riding trail with Bob,
Calm, smooth, mild, flat, beautiful.
Even enhanced with an ice cream stop!

Appreciating the ease and delight.

Hugs,
Lin
