Savoring the Whole Experience
Thursday, March 14, 2019
Hello My Friends,
Biked eighteen miles today.
Lovely ride to our great destination ... Library.
Especially noted their jigsaw puzzle shelf,
"Leave a puzzle, take a puzzle" ... great policy!
"Annual Art and Flower Show" at Lib.
Beautiful color and line enhancements of art and blossoms.
A treat to view Flowers interpreting Paintings.
On to find Lin's piece of Key Lime pie,
Nearly required visiting here,
Yet to be eaten this trip.
Perfect source had Key Lime tart for Lin,
Gluten Free chocolate yum-yum for Bob.
Each eaten immediately to strengthen return pedaling.
Trail back had least bike traffic ever & tail wind.
Plus .. alligator spotted climbing out of water.
Viewed from across street ... best way to view alligator.
Slowly winding up this last FL day at Castaway Cottages.
Short time at swim pool, begin packing,
Return paperback books to motel exchange shelf,
Feed ourselves, watch the sunset.
Privileged place, space, pace, and activity.
This choice for my celebration has been the right choice.
Stellar birthday! The best!
Each day's biking, being outside, flowers and sunshine,
Even the "Grump" day, and Heavy, clunky bikes
Have enlivened birthday week.
On very small scale,
This is like a bike trip.
Some days I just sort of like.
Yet, overall satisfaction has "named this game,” Excellent!
Hugs to each of you,
Lin

Key Lime Pie on pie day. 3.14.
Really? Pie Day? I must remember that! since it’s the day after my birthday, that shouldn’t be hard. Something to definitely celebrate every year! 🙂
Hi, Lin – I enjoyed seeing the allagator photo and also, especially, the art & flowers exhibit. The couple of times I’ve been able to get to “Art in Bloom” at MIA I have enjoyed it so much. Glad to see a similar exhibit in Sanibel. It has been a grand week. Thank you for sharing with us all. 🙂
It was a striking exhibit. I loved the color and bold creativity.
Thanks for coming along, Naurine!
Thank you, Lin, for taking us along on your 80th Birthday Ride. Beautiful, inspiring You.
My pleasure, Patsy! Look forward to seeing you soon.
Wonderful to see you somewhere warm and sunny. Looks like a wonderful place to be for your birthday. May your year ahead include many fine days biking.
Thank you, susan! A fine wish, indeed!
Incredible adventure!!!
And now for the wonderful return to There’s no place like Home, Sweet Home!!!
