Family Visit Time

Taking My Own Advice

Saturday, October 6, 2018

“Keep stretching for ways to give life to my days…”

No biking at all today!

Connections:
that round the family circle,
that keep us up to date,
that get us to remember shared times,
that show us new skills,
that tickle the funny-bone.

Those were important parts of
Family visits in WI today.

Taking my own advice—
It’s the second of my five Keys for Life:
“Connect with Others.”

Time with grandkids River and Ezra, and their mom Jamie,
Hearing River read stories to us all.
Top bunk best seats in the house!

Time after closing hours with
Son Rob, at his Red Mound Store,
Eating his homemade applesauce
Warm on top of ice cream.
Hearing Rob's current rehabbing of
Thirty-year-old bicycles.

Laughter, giggles, some tears,
Precious time.

Tonight, back in Rushford Motel.
Planning to bike tomorrow,
Here on Root River Trail.

Love to all,
Lin

Lovely to hear from you, Bev! Yes, the resemblance between Bob and Rob seems to grow as the years pass. Do you remember, as I do, hoping to never resemble our mothers? Now all I have to do is look in the mirror… 🙂
