Days of Different

Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023

I’m viewing the wonder of new sights,
Flowers, and ocean, and mountain heights.
Magnificent—true!
Still, visits with you
Are brightest for me, beyond city lights.

What are your “days of different?”

I’m on Spring Break!
I hadn’t thought to name it that way
Until Bob read me weather reports from MN.

If I were to name this time
As I have been thinking,
I’d say:
“Change of Place, Space, and Pace Time.”

So restorative!
How are you giving this to yourself?

All these restoring changes are
Wrapped up and
Heightened by
Connections.

Word-filled visiting,
Shared biking time,
Reminiscing across some table.

Appreciative-wonder at the views—
Flowers, ocean, mountains, people,
All filling my senses during these
“Days of different.”

For me, it’s the connections with
Family and Friends that weave
Fabulous solid-base for these
Restoring experiences.

The shared quiet-side-by-side
Moments of simply being together
Are the heart of this “Spring Break.”

These connections are
“Frosting” and “Glue.”
The bottom-line gift of
My “Spring Break.”

Hugs,
Lin

Oh what a beautiful place to be – I’ve been to Butchart gardens and it left a life long impression on me – I’ve never seen such a beautiful variety of colors — God’s creativity is unending!

It is an AMAZING place with beauty presented in such well-thought-out combinations. Truly stunning. 🙂

Lin
You and your daughter look like twins.
I’m so glad you are enjoying both spring weather and time with family. I did the same in North Carolina last month. I’ve come home to cool rainy weather but the forecast looks better for next week.
Hope

Glad to hear you, too, have enjoyed your “Days of Different!” My daughter has my smile and her father’s build … thank you for the “twins” remark!
