One can see a view and appreciate,
Your seeing lets you participate.
You see for your part,
With mind and with heart,
Beauty for you to assimilate.
Is there value in not participating?
I went to the local greenhouse
To wander amidst brilliant color.
There were rows of
Handsome green bushes and trees.
But I was soaking up brilliant color.
That's an outing I love.
Many shapes, each with its own beauty
In addition to color.
You know what?
I don't at all like to garden.
As child of a committed
Beautiful-yard-person,
I don't garden.
As mother of adult kids
Who garden and farm,
And didn't get that gene from me,
I don't garden.
Soaking up the beauty,
Savoring the bounty,
Being grateful for others' work,
I wander, view, sometimes photograph,
Truly loving other folks' planting and tending.
It reminds me that I can appreciate
Even if I don't participate.
I think it's true
For arts seen,
For sports watched,
For music heard.
My title for me ...
I am an Appreciator!
What are you appreciating these days?
Not participating in, still really appreciating?
Let me know.
Hugs.
