Hillsdale to Brewster, NY: 41 of 62 miles
Day 7: Empire State Trail Ride

A Rail Trail is wonderful!
Harlem Valley Rail Trail—
Early in today's ride.
Twenty-four miles of flat, calm riding.
THE BEST!
Remaining miles into lunch stop
Had moderate hills.
The kind that seem worth
Pedaling up, for coasting down.
Gentle morning;
Made space for noticing
Hillsides, flowers, charming old buildings.
One place, our road passed
Destination-type Inn.
Beyond stone wall, bride & groom
Being photographed.
Won't they be surprised to see
One photo with Screaming Yellow shirt in backdrop,
One with Blaze Orange!
Those color flashes?
Nancy and I riding by.
I came in with van after lunch.
Good decision.
Hugs,
Lin
Limerick:
Days that can start with a gentle ride,
Seem to promote the day's gentle side.
Do you think that's true?
Is that true for you?
Setting you up to take more-in-stride!

Dear Lin, It is a joyful moment to think of you on that beautiful and gentle ride, past weddings and flowers. Thank you for taking the time to write about it for me, and all of us to read. Best, Linda
Thank you for your message, Linda!
What a wonderful ride you are having. Love reading of your daily adventures. And, what fun to see the horse/cow on your ride. I am “riding” along with you–and know it is not easy. Glad you have some really terrific riding companions. My best to you and lots of hugs . . . your classmate from Cheyenne!! Beverly
My Cheyenne Classmate Beverly! Thank you for following along–what a joy!
