Breaking News...

Hello My Friends,
My exciting news:
I have signed up to ride around Lake Michigan!
Trip is June 1—21, 2018.
It is set up by bicycle company created by Nancy and Ken Wright.
Couple from Vermont sets up rides—
Route, lodging, food, SAG.
Doing all work themselves,
Riding with participants everyday,
Keeping costs down,
And enthusiasm up!
Daily mileage is in good range,
Lodging is inside (no camping).
Lake Michigan is brand new area for me.
Start point is in driving distance.
I won't know any riders.
That's true of when I first began.
We'll have at least one thing in common:
Riding a bike.
Now stationary biking in building
Has greater importance,
More commitment from me.
With something to read,
I keep pedaling.
Winter, winter, winter!
Storm dumped 16 inches
Snow on Northfield.
Beautiful deep, white blanket,
Covering every surface.
Toastmaster's club gives me occasional
Speech possibility.
Fun time last week presenting
Example of Inspirational talk.
Audience of twenty
Attentive and appreciative.
Grateful for longer daylight,
Friends as part of my days,
Visit with granddaughter Tigerlilly before return to University in Seoul, Korea.
Beloved Bob present in my life.
Hugs to each of you,
Lin
Limerick:
Reading disguises my static ride.
Let's me ignore that I am inside.
With nose in a book,
I don't have to look.
Story intrigue, my pedaling guide.

Lin,
So happy to read your email !! You are truly an inspiration. Love knowing you and bob are still going strong.
Love, shari
Terrific to hear from you, Shari! Bob and I are SO lucky, and we know it. Thanks for your delight. 🙂
Great Lin! Another adventure on two wheels. Looking forward to read about it. June is approaching…
I’m so appreciative of your cheerleading, Irene!
Such wonderful news, Lin!
I can only imagine how excited you are to have an adventure to look forward to.
Thanks for sharing the wonderful photos of you and your family, too.
As always, you are an inspiration to me; it’s no small thing learning to “say yes” to bigger things. Hope to see you soon.
Love, Carla
I’ll look forward to our next get-together…I always do. 🙂
It makes sharing even more fun when those receiving my news understand its magnitude, and like seeing my family!
You’ll be riding through the land of my childhood through early adulthood! Pre- Northfield years. Wish the map had been right side up…but I could see that you’re taking the ferry from Milwaukee (where my mother grew up) to Muskegon (just north of Grand Haven where I had my first teaching job), and then north along the lake where my family went every summer.
I’ll be following your trip closely, and reminiscing along the way…
Patsy
Apologies passed from my webmaster for reversing the map. How fun you’ll have such personal connection with my destinations! Thanks, Patsy.
