Fun does not require perfection.
It may bring a real direction,
To joy in your heart.
Why not make a start—
To live with a fun-heart connection.
Where do you need reminding of permission?
Pouring over jigsaw puzzle pieces,
Belting out sounds, sort of singing.
Increasingly feeling happy.
End of dining room table nearly always
Covered with Jigsaw Puzzle in progress.
Go-to spot for
Quiet evening together time for Bob and me.
Tonight, CD disc spins out music from
"Sons of the Pioneers,”
Male quartet performing Western music since 1933.
My Mama loved listening to them and singing along.
That CD came from her collection.

Clockwise from upper left: Sons of Pioneers: current sing-a-long. Catching the "swing" rhythm. All in Fun!. My two left feet. Drifting along... tumbleweed..la, la, la.
I'm joining in singing with those "Sons of ....”
Some words I know but
Lots of “Do-do-do-do Oh-Dee-dee-dee.”
Blasting out an octave lower, or as the
Screechy falsetto soprano.
Harmonizing that fits, sort of, or not.
Joining in with phrases from
"Cool Water" and "Tumbling, Tumbleweed.”
As a young person, I sang well.
Good ear for harmonizing, clear voice.
Now, not the case.
So I seldom sing ... outloud,
Still singing in my mind.
What I realized / remembered that evening?
It doesn't have to be perfect.
Doing something that
Lights up the "Happy" or "Fun.”
You are in a good spot.
Join in belting out the sort-of-tune.
Paint your unrecognizable picture.
Dance with your two left feet.
Your version,
Your Happy Time,
Your Life Lived.
Hugs,
Lin

Hi Lin,
I am so glad you are happy! Knowing that makes me happy, too!
I couldn’t open the link to the dance video, but “Dance On!”
with love, Leslie
Thank you, Leslie!! 🙂 🙂
Yep, made me smile! The dancing video, that is — but that blueberry salad also made me smile!
Carrie
Blueberry salad definitely smile-worthy! 🙂
Yes, the dance video DID make me smile! And I love Sons of the Pioneers, listen to it often. Thanks for posting about it.
Linda
Such great sing-along material! 🙂
Dancing Lyn, and photographer Bob, gave me a boost to my morning! Thanks.
I’d jump and click my heels if I dared! Grateful.
I still love your singing! Please keep singing aloud- it is full of joy and brings such joy!
Thank you for the encouragement, dear Maggie!
