Talking with friend.

An outcome from time spent connecting,
With caring and thought intersecting.
A confidence boost,
My worries reduced,
I move on with new hope reflecting.

Which connections are empowering you?

I was thinking about my “Five Shifts”.

You remember—
Five points that help me
Stay the course,
Hang in there.

They came about years ago
As I was thinking through
What showed up consistently
To help me stay on track.
Those times when “it” felt
Too hard.

In those days, it was around
Long bike trips.

Now, way down my time-line,
I get it that those shifts are
Fundamental for my off-bike life, too.

Shift #3:
Connecting with others—

Much in my awareness today.

Connections keep my life on track.

Others sharing the task,
Someone listening compassionately,
Buddies cheering my efforts.
Those connections empower me
To “Stay the Course” …
In Street clothes or Bike Pants.

I’m grateful for those connecting
People and moments.

My wish is that you encounter
Authentic, heart-felt connections.

Hugs,
Lin

  1. Oh way to often in my younger years I didn’t realize the value of a heartfelt connection — too busy trying to run a successful business, when I find as I age that the business is gone, but the old friends remain, and I’ve been blessed that they waited for me 🙂 Thank you for this reminder, Lin!

    1. i have no doubt those connections also worked during your business years, Jill! You are a master at weaving and maintaining connections! Love mine with you… 🙂
