August 17

66th Anniversary

Noting our marriage longevity,
Quiet times and with some Levity.
We’ve learned to lift,
And mark the day’s gift.
Time—though a feeling of brevity.

On August 23rd, it will be 66 years.

Bob and I are about to mark
Sixty-six years of marriage.

Amazing to try to picture 66 yrs,
Even when you’ve lived them.

Ups and downs.
Times of cherishing.
Times of Icing-out each other.
Times of mutual focus.
Times of distance.
Times of reconnection.

Usual sort of long-term couple.

We’ve grown into gratitude.
Grateful that we share our mutual life,
Can share with each other as we grow old.

May you, too, have days of gratitude.

Hugs.
Lin
