Winter Solstice

Wishes and ReflectionS

Wednesday, December 21, 2016

Hello friends,

Longest day, darkest day.

Tomorrow and tomorrow ...
Slowly light nibbles darkness,
Renewing thoughts of
Daylight opening possibility.

This season is a hard one for me,
With darkness and cold.

Possibility has remained all along,
Just difficult for me to be positive,
To motivate.

I ride stationary bike while reading
In little exercise room of Village,
Go to Senior Center exercise classes.

Put together a large jigsaw puzzle
On end of dining room table.
Bob & I take turns reading, puzzling,
Actually, very nice way to be together.

I am honored & excited to have several
Speaking Gigs in 2017:

February 10, Edina Bike Club
February 15, Rochester MN Public Library
February 18, Northfields AAUW

April 5, Winona MN Public Library

My mind is stirring up
Bike ride possibilities for 2017.
No decisions,
Many dreams.

I send each of you
Wishes for LIGHT and hope,
Days that bring satisfaction,
Love and smiles.

Big hugs,
Lin

Limerick:
Long darkness for days lets one ponder.
My mind drifts in fog, where I wander,
Through much that is past,
It's gone by so fast,
Reclaiming things brighter and fonder.

My wintertime biking

One of our favorite winter pastimes: puzzles!

Our condo building "decks the halls!"

Not the weather for outdoor biking!

Happy holiday to you, too, dear Patsy! I like the tangible start and finish of a puzzle… a little like biking in that way!
