At Hiawatha Bike Club

Great People, Good Fun!

Friday, February 10th, 2017

Hi Friends,

I've had such FUN this weekend!
Giving talk, visiting family,
Connecting and sharing.

Hiawatha Bicycle Club, Edina MN
Hosted me as speaker for their February meeting.
Twenty-five attentive listeners
Heard me tell how biking,
Actually "reaching bigger" has
Expanded my life.

It is becoming clearer to me that
Although I am telling about bike trips
Priming my big adventures;
I'm really talking about how reaching farther,
Committing to a task / dream / longing,
Has given me a greater sense of possibility.

I want that for ALL of us.

Next talk is Wednesday, February 15,
Rochester MN Public Library, 6:30 p.m.
If you are within driving distance,
Please come!

In addition to Genuine Fun I had giving talk,
Hour with granddaughters Tigerlilly & Sequoia,
Taxi service and lodging with Scott Bruce,
Gave even greater breadth & richness to time
Around speech date.

Today volunteer kitchen work at church:
A hands-on task that helps
Following funeral of yet another
Long time acquaintance.

Time is so precious.
May I fill it with precious folks
And pursuits.

Hugs to each,
Lin

Lin McLaughlin Bruce uses stories of her cross-country bicycle adventures post age 60 to inspire and encourage people to reach beyond perceived limitations. In her words, "It's never too late to say 'yes' to bigger things!"
